About AesthetiConf
An independent directory of congresses, symposia and trade shows in aesthetic surgery, dermatology and beauty — in Vietnam and worldwide.
Editorial policy
- All dates are cross-checked against the event's official site. The “last verified” field is shown publicly on every event.
- Where two sources give different dates, the event is flagged “needs verification” rather than one figure being picked arbitrarily.
- Information that cannot be verified is stated as “not published” rather than guessed.
- Clinical articles are published only after a named physician review. This constraint is enforced at the database layer, not only in the interface.
- Paid content is always clearly labelled. Listing tiers affect ordering, never editorial content.
- We do not accept payment to remove or alter unfavourable information about an event.
Where the data comes from
The system combines two sources. Large organisations with stable page structures (ISAPS, ASPS, IMCAS, EuroMediCom, Cosmoprof) are crawled on a schedule, with results queued for editorial review. Domestic sources and sites that block crawling are entered manually by editors and marked as such in each event's data-source field.
The crawler respects robots.txt absolutely and limits itself to one request per domain every five seconds. We take facts only — name, dates, location, URL — and never copy long descriptions, images or detailed programmes. Every detail page links out to the event's official site.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the event data come from?
The system combines two sources: automated crawling of 12 international sources with stable page structures, and manual entry for 11 domestic sources or sites that block crawling. No source publishes directly — everything passes through one moderation queue.
Why do some events say “dates TBA”?
Because the organiser has not published them. We show that state as it is rather than inventing an estimate, and we do not emit a fabricated start date in structured data for Google either.
What does the “needs verification” label mean?
It means two sources currently give different dates for that event. We still show the event, with both figures, so you know exactly where the data stands and can decide whether to call the organiser.
Do paid listing tiers affect content?
No. A tier affects ordering and placement only. The ranking function in the query layer reads the tier and the start date — never payment status.
Who is responsible for clinical content?
Every clinical article carries a named physician reviewer with their title and practising certificate number as of the signing date. An article without a reviewer cannot be published — that is a database-level constraint.
Is AesthetiConf an event organiser?
No. We are an independent directory. Registration, payment and schedule changes are decided solely by each event's organiser.
